Are you a South Asian adult experiencing stress from high expectations at work, in school, or within your family? Do you struggle with overthinking, self-criticism, or feeling like you must constantly excel? This 8-week group is designed to provide practical tools and structured support to help you manage anxiety, perfectionism, and internal pressure while honoring your cultural identity.

Through psychoeducation, guided group discussion, and actionable skills practice, participants will learn how to:

  • Recognize and manage culturally-informed stress and anxiety

  • Navigate family and societal expectations without self-judgment

  • Reduce self-critical thinking and pressure to “perform perfectly”

  • Set healthy personal boundaries

  • Integrate small, practical habits into daily life that support emotional well-being

Details:
• 8 weekly sessions from 6-7pm on Mondays starting 3/16/26
• Group size: 8-10 participants
• Format: Telehealth
• Fee: $85 per session / $680 total. Aetna, United Healthcare, and Oxford insurance is accepted.

A brief screening call is required to ensure a good fit. Participants must attend virtual sessions from New York State. It is expected participants will attend all sessions and fee reimbursement is not permitted for missed sessions.

This group is supportive of South Asian cultural values and experiences but is not therapy for acute crises or trauma.
